Vandaag breekt er een nieuw hoofdstuk aan voor de Australische nu-metal band Ocean Grove, waarbij de band de lancering aankondigt van hun eigen label, ODDWORLD Records, evenals hun contract bij SharpTone Records buiten Australië en Nieuw-Zeeland. Daarnaast hebben ze ook nog een nieuwe single genaamd “Fly Away” uitgebracht die de band terugbrengt naar hun nu-metal roots.
Zanger Dale Tanner zegt het volgende over hun nieuwe label:
We’re very pumped to be joining the SharpTone Records family. We feel more ready than ever to represent a label of their calibre and are so grateful for their confidence in us. In return, we hope to bring a fresh and unique sound to their roster as they take The Oddworld global.
En over “Fly Away” deelt hij:
FLY AWAY is a return to our sonic roots and the definitive OG sound. With an injection of fresh energy and experimentation, the song primes the new era of Ocean Grove with a hard and heavy edge.
Vanaf hun debuutalbum “The Rhapsody Tapes” uit 2017, dat debuteerde op nummer 5 in de ARIA Charts, tot hun tweede release uit 2020, “Flip Phone Fantasy” en “Up In The Air Forever” uit 2022, die beide ook in de ARIA Charts top 10 belandden, heeft Ocean Grove veel lof voor hun baanbrekende vakmanschap en onbevreesde experimenten in de wacht gesleept.
