De Nederlandse deathcore/hardcore band Torn From Oblivion heeft hun nieuwe single “FRAUD!” uitgebracht. Op deze track werkt de band samen met Alma Alizadeh, bekend als de frontvrouw van For I Am King. Met deze krachtige samenwerking laten ze een intense en dynamische sound horen.
Vocalist Mees Stevens zegt het volgende over de track:
‘FRAUD!’ explores the struggle of hiding your true feelings to avoid hurting others. This people-pleasing mentality can spiral into imposter syndrome, making you lose your sense of self. Eventually, that disconnect can lead to self-hatred and an inability to truly connect with anyone. We brought in Alma Alizadeh of FOR I AM KING to create a dynamic back-and-forth—one voice embodying the frustration and self-loathing that comes with this battle, while the other represents the exhaustion of constantly wearing a mask.
Na eerdere releases als “The Extinction” en “Convergence” heeft Torn From Oblivion zich snel gevestigd in de metalscene. Sinds hun signing bij Prime Collective in 2024 werken ze toe naar de release van “Transcend”, dat op 28 maart verschijnt.
