De Amerikaanse deathcore band A Wake In Providence heeft bekendgemaakt dat ze afscheid hebben genomen van zanger Adam Mercer. Mercer zat sinds 2018 bij de band en nam destijds de plek van Will Ramos over, die de overstap maakte naar Lorna Shore.
De band schrijft:
We regret to announce the departure of our vocalist Adam Mercer from AWIP.
We wish him the best in his future endeavors in music and his personal life.
We want to thank Adam for all he has contributed to the band.
There is no negativity between the remaining members and Adam.
AWIP will continue.

Vorig jaar, op 21 mei 2024, bracht de band een single uit met de titel “Mournful Benediction” met Shadow of Intent-zanger Ben Duerr, samen met de aankondiging van hun vierde studioalbum “I Write to You, My Darling Decay”, dat op 26 juli 2024 uitkwam.
