De Zweedse alternative metal band Avatar heeft hun nieuwe album “Don’t Go In The Forest” aangekondigd dat op 31 oktober uitkomt. Naast deze aankondiging heeft de band ook een video uitgebracht voor “Tonight We Must Be Warriors” en de data voor hun Europese tour bekendgemaakt.
De band zegt het volgende over het album:
The secret ingredient? We still feel like we’re just getting started. “Don’t Go In The Forest” is filled to the brim with things we’ve never done before, songs and concepts we hadn’t dared touch until now. The mind is wild, and we’ve lost ourselves in the darkest woods, filled with memories, fantasies, and forbidden thoughts that must be spoken.
This album couldn’t have been made at any other time than now. That’s all we ever wanted, and maybe you’ll find it’s all you ever wanted too.
Over de nieuwe track schrijven ze:
In days of isolation and despair, maybe we need to be reminded that we are not alone? We are one of many. Maybe we also need a reminder that the burden is on our shoulders? To get it done, we need to do the fighting ourselves. In our shared pain, we find solidarity.
