De Nederlandse melodic metal band Pandora’s Key heeft een video uitgebracht voor “The Keening”, een track afkomstig van hun debuutalbum “Yet I Remain” dat vorig jaar uitkwam.
De band zegt het volgende over de track:
The Keening is inspired by the amazing Irish poem “Caoineadh Airt Uí Laoghaire”, written in the 18th century by the legendary Eibhlín Dubh Ní Chonaill. Uttered in grief and fury, Eibhlín tells the tale of the murder of her husband Art at the hands of Abraham Morris. Musically, “The Keening” combines the love and loss that Eibhlín felt, which is expressed through the vocal lines. Musically, “The Keening” underlines the deep sense of rage and injustice.
