De Amerikaanse post-hardcore band Dayseeker heeft hun zevende studioalbum “Creature In The Black Night” aangekondigd. Het album verschijnt op 24 oktober via Spinefarm Records. Tegelijk met de aankondiging bracht de band ook een videoclip uit voor het titelnummer, geregisseerd door Orie McGinness. De productie van het album is in handen van Daniel Braunstein, terwijl de mix is verzorgd door Zakk Cervini.
In een statement licht frontman Rory Rodriguez toe:
‘Creature In The Black Night’ is the darker part of your conscience overpowering you. It’s about the rush you’re addicted to that you can’t ignore.
There’s a horror-inspired vibe that took hold early on. It wasn’t planned. But once it started showing up in the songs, we leaned into it.” He later added of the effort, “There was this idea that we’d get more and more commercial over time. But I think the opposite happened — we’re riffing more, I’m screaming more. And it feels good. It feels honest.
