De Duitse nu-metalcore band Half Me heeft hun debuutalbum “Soma” aangekondigd, dat op 17 februari uitkomt via Arising Empire. Met deze aankondiging heeft de band ook een video uitgebracht voor “Blacklight”.
We’re proudly announcing our debut LP SOMA. SOMA tells a twisted story about paranoid schizophrenia and the symptoms that come along with it. Conceptually starting with “Wraith” as the trigger and ending in acceptance with “Half Me”, it follows a straight path of mental decay. The inner dialogue alters throughout the album and each song is an excursion into the depths of the human mind and its perception.
In twee jaar tijd heeft de band indruk kunnen maken in de muziekscene door zelf muziek en video’s te produceren om hun intensieve en energieke houding te tonen. Debuterend met vier singles, was het hun nieuwste single “Exitwound” (met Jack Bergin van Void Of Vision) die de groep een doorbraak bezorgde en de band in de schijnwerpers zette van Knotfest’s “Countdown To Oblivion”.
